Minister-Counselor Heng Xiaojun Leads Consular Working Group to Prince Edward Island Province for On-site Service

From March 3rd to 4th, Minister-Counselor Heng Xiaojun of the Chinese Embassy in Canada led a consular working group to Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island Province to deal with applications for passport, travel permit and survival certificate for the convenience of overseas Chinese and Chinese students. The working group provided certificate services for more than 110 applicants and held talks with representatives from local overseas Chinese communities, receiving acclamation from them. During the event, Minister-Counselor Heng Xiaojun attended the Spring Festival Celebration for the Year of the Dog held by the Chinese Canadian Association of Prince Edward Island. More than 1,000 people attended the celebration event, including H. Wade MacLauchlan, Premier of Prince Edward Island, MP Sean Casey local officials of Prince Edward Island as well as overseas Chinese.
