On the evening of November 8 2004, Foreign Minister Li Zhaoxing made a phone conversation with the Assistant to the President for National Security Affairs of the United States, Rice. The two sides exchanged views on further pushing forward the development of constructive and cooperative relations between China and the US. Li also introduced that the Chinese side advocates properly handling the Iran nuclear issue within the IAEA framework.
